Title on cover: The day the watertower froze : and other stories from my days with the Mille Lacs Band.
    Summary:
David MacArthur recounts his fifteen years working at the Mille Lacs Reservation. MacArthur, a registered member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe, worked his way up from solid waste supervisor to public works administrator and director of small business operations. By taking time to understand the tribal culture, he gained their respect and trust as he worked to improve their lives, and took away these stories and an appreciation for his Native American heritage.
